TOOTH EXTRACTION

As dentists, we try to keep and protect natural teeth as much as possible, but sometimes tooth extraction may occur for reasons such as infection, advanced caries, trauma, impacted wisdom teeth, orthodontic treatment, loosening of milk teeth.

In tooth extraction, first of all, local anesthesia is applied to numb the tooth and gums to be extracted. Your tooth extraction is performed when sufficient compatibility is achieved.

What should I pay attention to after tooth extraction?

Bite the gauze pad that we placed on your extraction area for 25 minutes. Remove and discard the tampon after 25 minutes and do not replace it with another tampon if the bleeding has stopped. This prevents the clot from breaking down.

Do not chew or eat food until the effect of the anesthesia wears off (approximately 2-4 hours). You can take non-chewable liquids.

If there is pain after the extraction, you can take a pain reliever other than aspirin. Do not smoke and do not drink alcohol for 24 hours after the shooting. Do not take very hot or very cold foods. Do not tamper with the wound site after extraction, do not play with your tongue.

Impacted Twisdom Tooth Extraction (Wisdom Dental Surgery)

Wisdom teeth are the last adult teeth to erupt, while these teeth can erupt in the right place and position of the jaw without any pain, but because they do not adapt to the jaw structure in most individuals, it causes pain, abscess formation and discomfort. Wisdom teeth that cause such complaints should be extracted. In addition to the pain it causes, it can cause compression in the jaw structure, deterioration and negativities in the health of neighboring teeth. For this reason, it is beneficial to come to the dentist for a check-up with the onset of the twenties. Surgical extractions of impacted wisdom teeth are successfully performed in our clinic.
