BRUXISM-TEETH CLENCHING TREATMENT
Bruxism, also commonly known as clenching or grinding, is a common disease in our society. It causes abrasions and breaks in the teeth, destruction of bone and gum tissue, headache, pain in the muscles and joints of the face, noise when opening and closing the mouth, and temporomandibular joint disorders.
How is bruxism treated?
We make a personalized chin appliance with the measurements taken in our clinic. This night plaque protects the teeth during night clenching and prevents them from being worn.
Another treatment method in bruxism is botox. It is possible to achieve higher success with Botox than other treatment methods. With Botox injection, muscle relaxation is provided by eliminating stress and excessive chewing force in the muscles without damaging the muscles and preserving the chewing function. The application is done in as little as 20 minutes. Since the effect of Botox lasts between 4-6 months, repeated doses can be applied to the patient whose complaints continue after six months.
